Averted is a UK metalcore/prog metal formed in Southampton by Jamie and Merlin in April 2018, it started as a side project for them to explore the techy side of metalcore. They co-wrote a few songs before they started looking for other members and were joined by Logan and Syhem in 2019. In June 2019 they started writing their first EP “Silenced”, as all members of the band live in different cities the whole process was done remotely in their respective home studios and the 6 songs were completed in a few months.
Phantom High has amassed several singles and an EP since their inception in 2017, putting a glam core twist on Lady Gaga, Bryan Adams, and Childish Gambino tracks as well as shaping their own originals. Coined as “ironic pop back from hell”, Phantom High will entice those looking for something very different from the traditional rock aesthetic. Those who can look past the mask can expect a cathartic release, anthemic melodies, heavy guitars, and abysmal soundscapes, under honest unfiltered lyrics.
Hailing from the Asian metal scene, multi-award-winning metal band Inner Sanctum has placed India on the metal map of the world. Formed in 2006 in the backdrop of the volatile socio-political environment in India, Inner Sanctum emerged as disruptors from the get-go and has worked tirelessly to promote and unite metal music and fans in India and across the globe.
After years of living in the filth among shady, ego-driven villains Johnny Skulls and Dax Dabs decided they weren’t going to take it anymore. It was the dawn of a new day. Following orders and getting in line was now a way of the past. They packed their bags and made their way back to Boston, destined to rise above and create their own future.
Last July, the band released their debut single, “Adrenaline,” to over 45,000 views on YouTube, along with Spotify placements on Loudwire’s Weekly Wire, Hopeless Records’ Moshed Potatoes, and Pandora’s New Rock Now Playlist, to name a few. They followed up “Adrenaline” with “Never Alone” on Halloween 2020, which quickly garnered 50,000 streams on Spotify with placement on Spotify’s “Rock Hard” and another spot on Loudwire’s Weekly Wire. Working with producer Kile Odell (Fozzy, Through Fire, Awake At Last), “Never Alone” is the second chapter of the forthcoming EP by Above Snakes. We had a quick chat with Dax Dabs of Above Snakes.
September Mourning is a dark culture fantasy band based on a graphic novel (Top Cow/Image Comics) created by singer Emily Lazar (September) and comic legend, Marc Silvestri. The band of Reapers that help bring the story to life on stage are Rich Juzwick (former guitarist for Gemini Syndrome), Kyle Mayer (former drummer for 10 Years) and Aaron Hoover (former guitarist for Sea of Treachery). The band released “Volume III” in December 2019 and is preparing to release “Volume IV” in Spring 2021. Here’s our interview with September!
