Symphony Of Sweden released a new song titled “Will She Fight”

Symphony Of Sweden released a new song on the 7th of December from their upcoming album – the first song from the highly expected material was “The Grim Reaper” followed by “Angels” in October, and the most recent release is “Will She Fight” – Evan and Lee were eager to release a new track before Christmas, and now the duo is able to put their full focus on their new material, which is coming on February.

Linus “Lee” Wester“I thought of a couple that wanted to be together but life and a whole lot more came in the way for that. She moved on… He knew what they felt for each other so he really struggled to move on, got depressed. And the lyrics are about their story. He wanted her to fight for them. This song means a lot. Many relationships end because of a lack of conversation between the two. And many times love sucks and it breaks you completely. So if you really have it, fall for it, then work for it. Get the things you want to have said, say them out loud before it’s too late.

Usually, I do the melody but this time Evan had a killer chorus and we went with that, and then I did the melody for the verses and of course the lyrics. And it came out really good.

We wanted to have one more single before Christmas and we wanted it to be a banger, so we worked really hard on getting it done. Evan really worked his ass off day and night with the video and mix so we would have it done in time. P.S.: it was a really cold video shooting.”

Pontus “Evan” Hagberg: “I already had some melodies in mind for the chorus and the instrumental parts which basically made it to the final version. Lee had his say for the verses and middle 8. I wanted to get the vibe of the mid 80s arena rock and I think we managed to get a glimpse of the past in a nice way with this track.

Despite the lyrics being about a couple breaking up, deep inside there is a strong feeling of hope, which gives the whole track an epic and majestic approach which I really love as it could be a metaphor for life itself.

I want to get things done, and if we have a great track ready to fly, why wait? Releasing music today is way easier than 20 years ago, and it is easier for everybody, of course, meaning it has never been so much new music around. And as we are still pretty new as a band, being active initially with new releases is a good thing in this crowded place of new bands and music.

Our second album is also just around the corner so with that in mind we are building up the interest for that with this single.”

And what should we expect from the new album? “The second album is always the hardest to make – all bands in history will confirm that! However, half of the tracks came easy as ever, and for the other half, we had to work harder, to say the least. However, I bet nobody could tell which ones were a struggle and which ones were a walk in the park!

They all came out great in the end and we really can’t wait to hear and see the reactions for the album! The release date is not confirmed but late January, early February is a good guess.

The band also recently released a new edition of Inner Demons which is coming with a jewel case and a 12 pages booklet. “We had a small run of a simplified CD release with just CD and cover art in a plastic sleeve which we sold out” – Evan added. “The demand for physical CDs was higher than I expected so to get a better value for the fans we included a booklet with lyrics and pictures in the new version. We look forward to selling those, mainly in our newly introduced Shopify store! The new album will be available as a physical CD in jewel case with the booklet as well of course!”
