The festival season has come to an end – but “end” always means a new beginning, so no worries, September will bring great gigs!
September 20: Kalevala, Grimner, Kylfingar & Vorgrum (Dürer Kert, Budapest)
Kalevala from Russia already played two sold-out gigs to the Hungarian fans a few years ago – we hope for a similar success again. The secret is: mix melodic metal with the folk music of Mother Russia from the northern Karelians to the steppe-dwelling Cossacks. The co-headliner Grimner from Sweden will be a first-timer in Hungary – they are one of the most promising young Viking/folk metal bands from Scandinavia, it’s time to show their skills in Hungary, too! The opening acts are Vorgrum, the great Argentine troll metal band and the local Vikings of Kylfingar – both bands will play an album-release show this night. Buy your tickets here!
September 26: II. S8 Underground Talent Show – II. Semi-final (S8 Underground Club, Budapest)
If you’re opened to talent shows then it’s highly recommended for you – come, and be part of the jury! The ticket is around 2 euros. Check out the official Facebook event!
September 28: Arkona, Dalriada (Barba Negra, Budapest)
You may distinguish the Hungarian metal act, Dalriada – well, they had a show at Wacken Open Air this year. If you haven’t heard of them, then you surely know the Russian folk metal band, called Arkona. If you’re a fan of that style, then don’t hesitate too much, get your tickets now!
