🔥 Since last year I look forward to the next autumn, because I know that when summer gone #OGT (Országos Gothic Találkozó - National Gothic Meetup) arrives. “The Hungarian Gothic Meetup (OGT) was first held in 2014 with a goal to unite members of the darker subcultures, and to organize the smaller, local events into a larger, national one. After the first, smaller events the OGT was moved to Budapest’s Dürer Kert, now under a proper festival-esque theme, where it remains to be held every year.” (Source: ogtfest.hu) So, as you can read, it was the 6rd edition of #OGT but this time they left Dürer Kert behind and the 2 days event (or you can even call it as “mini festival) was held at @analogmusichall . When I first saw that, I was a little bit sad because Dürer Kert is my all-time favorite place in Budapest. But Analog Music Hall wasn’t a bad place at all, I even think that the sound was way better than last year at Dürer, however the place is a bit far away from everything. (But at least we were separated from foolish mortals, haha!) Last year I made a mistake and I didn’t bring any cash, so this time the first thing I did on Friday that I took out some money from my bank account, and finally I could bought some unique and cool stuffs. Friday was my favorite day from this mini festival, and it’s not a secret, why: because of @blackbriarmusic . I would lie if I’d write that I’m a fan of them for a very long time, but their live show completely stole my heart and since then I can’t stop listening their songs. These 2 days were great and we truly appreciate all the work what the organizers have done. Evanescence was a huge part of my teenage years. I clearly remember, that for English lesson half of the class translated the lyrics of "Bring me to life". I'm not really sure that it fits for everyone, but in our school, there were two different part of (wannabe) rockers: there was one group, which adored Avril Lavigne, and there was another group, which found her too soft - and Evanescence was the perfect match for the second group. Amy Lee was someone, who we felt familiar with, we felt like somehow, somebody could understand our problems and she was even able to put out there our messages, our feelings. And she did it in a very artistical & gothic way. I know, that they grew big with their first album, "Fallen", but my favorite one was actually "The Open Door". I definitely was in love with that album, it was the perfect package for me: the cover was an absolute hit and I even couldn't name a favorite song from it because I loved each and every song equally. When I saw that they are coming to Hungary, I was truly happy and definitely a dream came true in my case and it wasn't a question that I'm not gonna miss it! The whole set was professional, each and every note was perfect - but, honestly, I was a little bit disappointed because I expected more show, lights...etc. during the show, but it might be because of they tried to leave out all those cliches. So, here's an other place in Stockholm what we'd like to suggest you visit: yes, we are writing about the beautiful Skansen. You could see many insta stories of that and we received many messages and questions about this place. Skansen is not so far away from the heart of Stockholm, you can reach it by public transport or even by walk and its open every day from 10 am to 6 pm and the tickets are between 60 and 140 SEK. Actually, it really worths the money, but I would suggest going there around the opening time because if you want to walk around and see everything, you'll need at least 4 or 5 hours - and comfortable shoes also. Actually, Skansen "is the world’s oldest open-air museum, showcasing the whole of Sweden with houses and farmsteads from every part of the country". You can experience the everyday life in the old way: you can taste the bread which is actually baked there; there are flax and wool-theme at several houses on Saturday; you can learn how to make textiles, reuse old wool, or clean your clothes in the old, classic but careful way. Or even you can learn how to make rope! And the best thing is that it's shown by people in period costume. Sometimes we really felt like we were walking through wonderland. 🕺 I know, that #ABBA ‘s music doesn’t fit in our profile, but we love good music and ABBA still has a huge influence on many generations. So, it wasn’t a question that when we are in #Stockholm we will check out @abbathemuseum . The exhibition starts with the Mamma Mia! theme, which is not that interactive as the other parts of the museum. Actually I haven’t seen the film but it was interesting to read some fun facts about the actors and shooting. But there are much more interesting things on the other floors: you can find some original stage clothes, instruments and other interesting things. My favorite part was definitely when we had the chance to be part of the @abba history: you can try mixing, singing the well-known melodies and even you can sing along (on stage!) with ABBA.
