Sabaton has worked its way up to the top in the past few years. The Swedish heavy metal band was formed back in 1999 and during those long years, they faced many difficulties and line-up changes. 2012 was probably the toughest year for the band, that was the year when two-thirds of Sabaton’s lineup left the band, and that time even Joakim himself confirmed the rumors, that the band would be going separate ways. Luckily this option didn’t become a real-life scenario, and the band is now more successful than ever! We had a pleasure to do an exclusive interview with the frontman of Sabaton, Joakim Brodén prior to their show in Budapest.
The dance on the edge of the abyss and its soundtrack: Dutch chart-topping metal outfit Delain have spent the last several years increasingly taking the world by storm, one album at a time. Now, with five successful releases already under their belts, the heavy crossover icons reach new heights with their latest multi-faceted dystopian masterpiece, Apocalypse & Chill. On Apocalypse & Chill, Delain leaves all stereotypes and preconceived notions in the dust – exploring themes of impending doom and human indifference – making this their boldest, most daring and undeniable offering yet. On a cold and foggy Friday evening, we had the opportunity to do an exclusive interview with Charlotte Wessels and Martijn Westerholt about their upcoming album.
There’re people out there, who actually have won the genetic lottery: they are the lucky ones, who are talented, smart, kind, good-looking and funny. The Iron Maidens’ guitarist, Courtney Cox is actually one of those people and we had the opportunity to do a small chat prior to their very first Hungarian show.
When surrealism meets Egyptian & Greek mythology – if I should summarize SepticFlesh I’d definitely say that. The Greek death metal band had a great concert in Hungary in April. Before the show, we had an opportunity to chat a bit with the frontman, Seth Siro Anton.
Nils Molin became a permanent member of Amaranthe after Jake E had left the band. When the news broke in Dynazty fans started to worry that the new project may have ended the career the Swedish power metal band. Luckily this was not the case, Nils manages his time and tasks perfectly, so he can put his focus on both bands. During Dynazty’s latest European tour we had an opportunity to chat a few minutes with the Swedish vocalist.
It took a while to write this interview and the reason is simple: when I feel that I had such a great interview, I’m always afraid that I will not be able to “show” how great it was. Actually, that happened this time. We had such a great talk with Orion (alias Tomasz Wróblewski) in Helsinki, and I hope you will love reading this article as much as we enjoyed to do that.
Björn Strid is one of the biggest Swedish veterans in the metal scene. Honestly: I didn’t know that he has an other (and quite successful) project besides Soilwork. So, when I first heard The Night Flight Orchestra I was really surprised. I don’t know what I expected – but definitely not that. However, I immediately became their fan, and their concert in Budapest was also a huge blast. Before the show, we had an opportunity to do a little talk with Björn.
The brand new Within Temptation album, Resist is out now! The fans had to wait for almost 5 years for the new material – but it’s worth the wait! The band has a modern, fresh sound. In December – before their show in Budapest – we had an opportunity to do an exclusive interview with the wonderful Sharon den Adel.
In 2013 a new era has started – Nightwish announced Floor Jansen as an official member of the band. My life completely changed, when I saw their live show in Budapest, back in 2015 – they stole my heart, however, I became a Nightwish fan around 2005, when I first saw Nemo on MTV.
After 3 years, the legendary Finnish band returned to Budapest – before their fantastic show, we had an opportunity to do an interview with the voice of Nightwish, Floor Jansen.
Hungarian metalheads can be really passionate – that’s a fact. And that’s why is Lordi a delighted returning guest to Hungary. However, Eurovision Song Contest was a huge turning point in the band’s career but after 12 (well, almost 13) years is quite a boring topic. So, I took the opportunity and I was trying to ask Mr. Lordi everything else besides that. And it’s time to show you the unmasked Mr. Lordi – well, not literally, but you know what I mean.
