Introducing: Twelve Back Stones

Italian hard rockers Twelve Back Stones have been around since 2012, carving out their place in the scene with a style they like to call alternative hard rock. Now, more than a decade later, they’re back with a new single, “6IX”, released through Volcano Records & Promotion, accompanied by a music video that brings the track’s sensual energy to life.

The band’s origins go back to a project by singer and frontman Jack Stone. From the start, the vision was clear: to express feelings and dreams in a way that was never trivial. Those early days were marked by a raw and direct sound — “like a punch,” as the band describes it. Over time, however, their songwriting evolved into something more layered and intriguing, while keeping the groove that has always been their trademark.

Their latest single, “6IX”, shows a different side of Twelve Back Stones. The song dives into themes of secrecy, intimacy, and the desire to break free from routine. The band explained that it reflects modern society’s rules and pressures, where dissatisfaction in relationships can spark a yearning for escape and new connections. This emotional depth, paired with the track’s enveloping atmosphere, makes “6IX” a journey into forbidden pleasure — a corner of the world where everything else can wait.

When it comes to songwriting, Twelve Back Stones usually draw inspiration from reality, whether through personal experiences or situations imagined — the kind of stories that, as they put it, “everyone may have dreamed of living at least once.” That authenticity is central to their music. While they remain devoted to the spirit of rock ’n’ roll, they aren’t afraid to experiment. Their latest singles weave synths into the mix, enriching the atmosphere without overshadowing the band’s dual-guitar foundation.

The future is looking busy for Twelve Back Stones. This year, they plan to release three more songs, which together with the recent singles will form their first EP. And beyond that? The band hints at more surprises to come.

Asked why people should give their music a listen, Twelve Back Stones offered a characteristically cheeky reply: the world might be crowded with “aniconic superstars,” but they’ve never aimed to be one of them.

With “6IX” now out on all major platforms and a striking video already online, Twelve Back Stones are ready to remind the world that their brand of hard rock is anything but ordinary.
