Genus Ordinis Dei is a symphonic death metal band from Crema, Italy. The band was established in 2011 by a close circle of professional music instructors who graduated from Italy’s most respected music academies (RGA, MMI, NAM). In the beginning, the band sculpted its style, melting new millennium metal with symphonic sonorities. During this period, they carefully defined their musical identity, developing the idea for a trilogy of releases wherein the first album released would be Act II of the story. The band’s debut entitled The Middle was released independently in 2013, and they heavily backed it up by an intensive run of live shows across Italy and Europe into the following year.
Basque’s Song of Anhubis unleashed their sophomore album “Reversed Reflection” via Rockshots Records on October 23rd, 2020. The band creates a passionate, introspective, intense, and diverse gothic metal that was first introduced to the world on their 2016 debut full length “Revenge As Redemption”. Not quite following in the exact musical footsteps of their precursive album, their second record takes a 180-degree turn as it experiments with electronic elements and sounds more akin to rock and metal along with their staple gothic influences.
The Tex Avery Syndrome is at the cutting edge of Germany’s most wacko metal bands! The Frankfurt five-piece around power-front Laura Gierl have borrowed their band name from the legendary American cartoonist Tex Avery, who had once shaped world-famous characters like Bugs Bunny, Duffy Duck, or Porky Pig. Fits quite well, for this band is just as dashing as his cartoons.
What do you get when the craziness of System of a Down meets the electronic mayhem of Enter Shikari wrapped in the production of Bring Me The Horizon? You get Awake Again which is a four-piece alternative metal band hailing from Turku, Finland formed in 2013. Their music a distinctive mixture of metal, post-hardcore, and pop. Known for their huge and catchy songs accompanied with a live performance like a nuclear bomb Awake Again has been making a steady rise in the Finnish metal scene.
Since their formation, Illusions of Grandeur have toured in the United States as well as across the UK and Europe and made appearances at various festivals including Sav Fest, Dewey Beach Music Festival, and Witney Music Festival. Illusions of Grandeur has shared the stage with artists as varied as DOPE, Motograter, September Mourning, New Year’s Day, Puddle of Mudd, and Otep. Illusions of Grandeur’s fierce and energetic live show has gained them a legion of fans dubbed “The Siren Nation” who follow them worldwide, at live shows, and on social media.
